The Mosque Curriculum Development Flagship team has started its data collection session beginning on 6 July 2019.It is estimated that the session will end on 15 July 2019. They are targeting 600 respondents from 10 zones in Gombak.
The Mosque Curriculum Development Flagship team has conducted a training for all enumerators on 4 July 2019 at Human Science Seminar room. The enumerators are mostly IIUM students who are currently attending the Short Semester.
The Mosque Curriculum Study team has conducted its fourth Focus Group Discussion. This time it was held at Masjid Taman Tun Teja, Rawang on 11 May 2019. This is the last FGD session. The team will continue with its next phase of research activities soon.
The Mosque Curriculum Study team members had an honour to present the interim report of the project to the Orang Besar Daerah (OBD) Gombak on 16 May 2019. The event was held at Al-Tabari Conference room, KIRKHS.
The Kulliyyah’s student society, the IRKHSSS together with other Secretariats organized an Iftar with students, staff and local community. It was held on 10 May 2019 in front of the IIUM Cultural Centre. The event was graced by the presence of the Dean of the Kulliyyah together with a representative from local community, the village headman from Kampung Changkat, Gombak.
Team members for Mosque Curriculum Development Team had successfully conducted its third FGD at Masjid Al-Hidayah, Taman Melawati, Selangor on 4 May 2019. Approximately 40 respondents attended the session.
Students from the Department of English and Literature conducted a community engagement project at Surau Silaturrahim, Batu 11, Gombak on 27 April 2019. Many activities were conducted to enhance the English language proficiency among teenagers there.
The Office of the Deputy Dean (Student Development and Community Engagement), KIRKHS together with the Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences Student Society (IRKHSSS) and MPKK Kampung Sungai Chinchin, Gombak had successfully organized a community engagement project on 27 April 2019. It was held at various locations in Kampung Sungai Chinchin. This new model of community engagement project will be used as a model for all future community engagement projects organize by the Kulliyyah
The Mosque Curriculum Development Team was invited by the Mosque Management Division, JAIS to a meeting on 26 April 2019 at its office in Shah Alam. In the meeting, JAIS has indicated its interest to be a collaborator with this flagship team. JAIS has also agreed to fund this project.
Team members for Mosque Curriculum Development had conducted another Focus Group Discussion on 21 April 2019. This time it was held at Masjid Al-Islahiah in Kuang, Rawang.
