Online Webinar on the Arabic Language Studies – Remote Teaching & Learning of Arabic Language & Literature: Reality and Expectations

The event took place on Saturday, 26 June 2021 via Google Meet. It was organized by the Department of Language and Literacy, Kulliyyah of Education, IIUM.

The COVID-19 emergency has affected all citizens of the world. Also, the Teaching and Learning
Process in all non-formal and formal educational institutions experienced a total change to the use of
the internet or online media. This change was accompanied by a transformation in T&L Arabic Language and Literature from a personal-cultural approach to an instrumental-functional approach. Thus, the implications regarding
the ideal of the Arabic Language and Literature T&L process, require a shift in the degree of dependence on technology during and after the pandemic situation.
