Justification on the River of Life Project<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Starting off with the responsibility to care for our river, “Friends of Sg Pusu” is formed and initiated. We are aware that clean rivers also are natural aesthetic attractions to the residents and visitors of IIUM, hence, we realized that rehabilitated ponds are one of the urgency as it can become both recreational and sports attraction. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cleaning rivers flowing in IIUM may reduce the risks of campus flooding during heavy rain. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

River of Life Project can be a medium for community, especially students, to obtain learning experiences through various projects, activities and community services. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

River of Life Project could also be a platform to connect and engage with IIUM neighboring communities such as schools, Orang Asli and other Institution of Higher Learning. Indirectly, the project will also strengthen IIUM’s collaboration with both government bodies and private sectors, through the involvements from Jabatan Pengairan dan Saliran, Lembaga Urus Air Selangor and Asia Pacific Environmental Consultant. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
