The Mosque Curriculum Development Flagship team has started its data collection session beginning on 6 July 2019.It is estimated that the session will end on 15 July 2019. They are targeting 600 respondents from 10 zones in Gombak.
The Office of the Deputy Dean (Student Development and Community Engagement), KIRKHS together with the Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences Student Society (IRKHSSS) and MPKK Kampung Sungai Chinchin, Gombak had successfully organized a community engagement project on 27 April 2019. It was held at various locations in Kampung Sungai Chinchin. This new model of community engagement project will be used as a model for all future community engagement projects organize by the Kulliyyah
The Mosque Curriculum Development Team was invited by the Mosque Management Division, JAIS to a meeting on 26 April 2019 at its office in Shah Alam. In the meeting, JAIS has indicated its interest to be a collaborator with this flagship team. JAIS has also agreed to fund this project.
Students’ Secretariat from the Department of History and Civilization (HISTFORIUM) had successfully conducted an educational activity with school students at SMK Seri Gombak on 20 April 2019. The event was officially closed by the Head, Department of History and Civilization.
The Mosque Curriculum Development Team hosted a seminar for all mosque managers in Gombak on 20 April 2019 at IIUM Senate Hall. The seminar was organized by Pejabat Agama Islam Daerah (PAID) Gombak. The seminar was officially closed by Orang Besar Daerah (OBD) Gombak.
Team members for the Kulliyyah’s Flagship 2 on Empowering Youth held its first meeting with the village headman of Kampung Sungai Pusu, Gombak on Saturday, 6 April 2019. Activities for the SWC Project which is one of the projects under Empowering Youth Flagship will be centred at this village.
Students who are attending LE 4501 class (Language for Occupational Purposes) this Semester participated in a community engagement project in Gombak on 6 April 2019. Students from various Human Science Departments engaged in various activities with the Orang Asli community at Kampung Bukit Kala, Batu 12, Gombak.
The team members for the Kulliyyah’s Flagship 1 – Developing Mosque Curriculum together with the Kulliyyah Management Team visited Pejabat Agama Islam Daerah (PAID) Gombak on 2 April 2019. The purpose of the visit is to coordinate activities which will be conducted by the Flagship 1 team throughout the month of April.
On 19 March 2019, the Orang Besar Daerah (OBD) Gombak, Orang Kaya Maha Bijaya Tan Sri Dato’ Paduka Raja Dato’ Hj. Wan Mahmood Bin Pawan Teh visited IIUM. He was received by the Honorable Tan Sri Rector and the Kulliyyah Management Team as well as the task force members for the Mosque Curriculum Development Project. During the visit, His Excellency Tan Sri had proposed the formation of Steering Committee to oversee the progress of the Kulliyyah’s Flagship project on the mosque curriculum development.
