Prof. Dr. Rosnani Hashim had conducted Iqra’ class for reverts
from Hidayah Foundation Centre. The class applied the Iqra’
Fast Track Rosnani (IFTaR) Method (refer to the book shown
below).
The class was conducted via online using google meet from 21st
October 2020 to 11th December 2020. The duration of each class
was 1 hour 30 minutes. It was held twice a week.
There was a total of 10 students who enrolled. A few of them
were already familiar with the hijaiyyah letters but were still not
able to spell the words and read the Quran, whereas the rest had
no basic at all. But by the end of the class (8 weeks), all were
able to read the Arabic words and also the short surah. They
found the method much easier, more fun and faster than previous
methods that had been employed. They would recommend this
to all new reverts.
Presently our ISED Master student Sr Hilmiah Hassan is
continuing the lesson with them in Qur’an reading with tajwid.
