The ‘Training of Trainers (ToT) Workshop on Philosophy and Current Issues new undergraduate course was successfully held on 5th to 6th September 2019 (Thursday-Friday) at Al-Ghazali Conference Room, Level 2, Kulliyyah of Education. The two-day workshop was conducted specifically for IPTA lecturers who will be teaching the new Philosophy course. The workshop was initiated by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) with the collaboration of Centre for Teaching Thinking (CTT), Kulliyyah of Education, IIUM.
Thirty-nine participants from eleven (11) universities attended the workshop. The workshop began with a welcoming remark by the Dean of Kulliyyah of Education, Prof. Dr. Ainol Madizah Zubairi and a short briefing was delivered by Prof. Madya Dr. Wan Zuhainis Saad, the Director of Academic Excellence Division, Department of Higher Education (JPT). The main speakers for the two-day workshop were Prof. Dr. Rosnani Hashim, Professor Emeritus Tan Sri Dato’ Dzulkifli Abdul Razak and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Isham Pawan Ahmad. The workshop was concluded with a discussion on the implementation of the course led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suhailah Hussien.
